The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC)/Jenkins Limited Leadership Course Cohort Seven (7) to introduce Icons Park

By: (CFBC), Press Release

March 7th, 2019 -- Cohort 7 students of the CFBC - Jenkins Limited Leadership Course applied for and received approval to design and create an Icons Park in the McKnight area of Basseterre. Its purpose is to honour nationals who have made significant contributions to the social and civic advancement of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The area designated for the park is the section of land located at the base of Adam’s Hill and Infirmary Road, and directly across from Naomi’s Side Pocket. The landscape will be beautifully enhanced with walkways, benches, ornamental plants, and informational plaques highlighting the selected icons.

The environmentally friendly project commenced on 16th February, when the lot was cleared in preparation for bringing our vision to fruition. It is our hope that the Icons Park will become an educational and historical site that will attract both locals and visitors alike. The official opening of the Icons Park will be held on Thursday 14th March 2019.

This project is a Leadership Course requirement which demands that students put theoretical lessons into practice by designing and implementing a community service initiative with sustainable impact.
