March 8th, 2019 -- Tuesday, 5th March saw the Inaugural visit of M.V. Tropic Unity to St. Kitts, one of the two vessels slated to replace the existing Tropical Shipping cargo vessels that operate through the Caribbean chain from Florida to the Federation. M.V. Tropic Caribe, the second vessel is scheduled to start serving our market by June, 2019. This is a strategic approach by Tropical Shipping to ensure a FASTER, SAFER and more RELIABLE service to the Caribbean Region and St. Kitts-Nevis and to serve a market that is experiencing growth in demand for Freight Transport to and from the region.
These new-to-market Tropical Shipping Vessels are almost double the volume capacity of the former vessels and much faster, which would allow for more cargo to be guaranteed shipment from Florida and the Caribbean Region on a weekly basis. Improvement to the Nevis vessel schedules is also imminent.
