CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – OFFICERS of the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis today (Aug. 18) destroyed a quantity of marijuana plants found in the Gingerland area.

The plants, with an estimated street value of EC$9 000 and ranging from one to nine feet, were destroyed by fire at Long Point. They were discovered on August 15 by a Task Force Unit headed by Corporal Harris during an operation in Gingerland.
 
The operation took place between 7:00 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.

No arrests were made.
