BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN an unexpected twist to the recent hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of Keith Brombill, a second man has been arrested and charged with “causing death by dangerous driving”.

On August 11, at the junction of the Island’s Main Road and Farm’s Road, Sandy Point, Brombill was struck by motorcar R173 which was reportedly being driven by Jevon Allen of Old Road.

Allen and other occupants, according to reports, fled the scene in the vehicle in an attempt to avoid being caught by the police. He was eventually caught while in the Old Road area; however, law enforcement officers were unable to capture the other occupants.

On Friday last, Allen was formally charged with “causing death by dangerous driving” and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison. Police had indicated that they were searching for three other occupants of the vehicle.

It was later explained however, that they were actually looking for two other individuals rather than three.

Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Cromwell Henry told SKNVibes that Mickhale Kelly, alias Micbo, was one of the persons being sought and that he has since been arrested and charged.

Kelly’s charge is identical to Allen’s and was preferred against him on Monday, August 17.  Both men were released on bail and are awaiting the commencement of the preliminary inquiry segment of the case.

A third individual is being sought by the police and while his identity has not been revealed, persons with information relative to the incident are asked to make contact with officers at the Sandy Point Police Station at 465-2241 and divulge any information they may have.

The public is reminded that information can be given anonymously and all information received will handled with the highest level of confidentiality.
