BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - JAMAICAN diva Barbee, who is known for her sexy voice featured on Beenie man’s hit single ‘Give It Up’, was recently featured in a cameo appearance in American rapper ‘The Game’ latest Hollywood movie, House Arrest.
The movie, written by Andrea Weathersby who also serves as an executive producer, is described as a ‘dramedy’ (a mix of drama and comedy) by director Billy Washington and centers on a high maintenance girl who meets a quick money scheming man.
According to One876radio, sources indicate that Barbee met The Game on her June 12 trip to California for the Junior Reid event.
“Barbee was in the restaurant of the hotel with Dance Xpressions having cocktails when this guy, Sean, walked over to have a conversation with the ladies,” the source said.
“He was so taken with Barbee. He was like, ‘Wow, I should have met you months ago; I would have gotten you in this movie’, the source said while adding, “She later found out that he was a movie producer and was adamant that she had to be in his new movie.”
Soon after meeting with Barbee’s mom, who is also her manger, plans were in place for the singer to appear in the movie where she played the role of a correctional officer.
The media house further stated that the producer also fell in love with her hot new single ‘Feels So Good’ and added it to the movie soundtrack.
Barbee is also known for the hit single, ‘Missing You’, with fellow Jamaican Junior Kelly. Born Faith Eselebor, she is described as beautiful, talented and charismatic with the ability to captivate thousands with her performances.
She is known for other singles such as ‘Paddy Cake’, ‘Diva in My Sneakers’ ‘Light Some Candles Tonight’ and ‘Love You Anyway’.
