Shower of Rain Brings Luck to Crazy 8s Player

Venetta Richardson displays her winning cheque for $8,000 from winning Caribbean Lottery’s Crazy 8s Instant Scratch Ticket
By: Caribbean Lottery, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts – April 15, 2019 -- “I laid in bed scratching and then I looked to see if I won anything. I couldn’t believe the results!” exclaimed an excited Venetta Richardson as she reminisced on the moment she found out she had won $8,000 from Caribbean Lottery’s Crazy 8s Instant Scratch Ticket.

The lucky player purchased her ticket at Island Flavour on College and Cayon Street in St. Kitts. “I was coming from the hospital and it was raining heavily so I decided to shelter there. As I was there, I decided to buy that scratch ticket and I went home after the rain to scratch.”

Richardson shared that she has always won small amounts, but she hoped to win big someday. “I knew one day I would win big,” she confidently expressed.

The mother of two enjoys playing Super Lotto, but always buys Crazy 8s as there are “more chances with it.”

Richardson admits that her mother would always ask her why she played lottery despite not winning big. “I recently lost my mom in February and she left a shop that I would invest in. I’m sure she would be glad that I won.”

Sabina Harrinarain, Business Development Associate at Caribbean Lottery, congratulated Richardson on her win, “We are extremely happy for Ms. Richardson and her family,” Ms. Harrinarain expressed. “We know she’ll put her winnings to good use.”

Richardson encourages other players to keep trying and plans to play even more consistently.
