By: Stanford Conway, SKNVibes.com

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – AN autopsy performed by Forensic Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nunez Quintana on the body of Ryan Richardson revealed that the cause of death was Mechanic Asphyxia due to hanging.

On Sunday afternoon (Apr. 14), the 39-year-old man was found hanging by the neck from a piece of rope tied to one of the rafters of the roof of his Buck’s Hill home.

According to Commander of the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Superintendent Lyndon David, the dead man’s brother had discovered the hanging body at around 12:30 p.m. on the day in question.

Richardson’s death was suspected to be that of suicide, but the Superintendent has stated that investigations were ongoing.

To date, however, no word has been forwarded on the investigation other than a press release indicating the cause of death.
