BASSETERRE, St Kitts - FANS of Kittitian-born singer Pat Ross can now add another one of her albums to their collection as she recently release her new album titled ‘A Blue Moon Shines On Me Tonight’.
The eight track album includes ‘Lead me on’; ‘Honky Tonk Angel’, which is a taste of rock and roll; ‘My Conscience’; ‘Hold to God’s Unchanging Hands’, which adds a little gospel flavor; and title track ‘Bluemoon’, which Ross said she wrote after the song came to her in a dream.
According to Ross, she decided to make the album a mixture of various genres because some people wanted gospel while others were looking for the more sentimental type of love songs.
The California-recorded album was produced by the singer and was first released in Nevis in June, then later in St. Thomas, St. Croix, Antigua and, of course, her homeland St. Kitts.
With this being her sixth album, Ross said it may be her last. She added that she gets no work in Federation and neither does she do much performing in California where she currently resides.
However, with a smile, she added that she is loved in Nicaragua where she often performs and is treated like royalty. “Man, you should see it when I touch down there; the people love me and makes me feel like a queen,” she said.
Her last performance on June 27 took place in Antigua where she was backed by the young vibrant boys of the Lightz Out Band.
One of her biggest hits known by many was released in 1981 titled ‘My Mistakes’.
‘Proud Mary’, ‘Go Get Your Man’ ‘Loving From Seven to Ten’ and ‘Telephone’ are some of her other hits which are loved by the listeners as well.
