BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have issued a wanted bulletin for the arrest of Purcell Sylvester Hope, alias ‘Peter’, of Newtown.
According to a police communiqué, the 66-year-old man is wanted in connection with a wounding incident that took place at the Independence Square on Friday (May 17).
In a previous communiqué, on the afternoon of the day in question, officers at the Basseterre Police Station had responded to a report of a wounding incident in the vicinity of Independence Square.
Preliminary investigations revealed that someone had stabbed Chad V. Seaton of Harbour View, Bird Rock with a sharp object from the rear in his upper left chest area.
Seaton was transported to the Joseph N France General Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Hope is of dark complexion, 5’5” tall, medium built, brown eyes and has black and gray hair.
The police is asking anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 662-7062, the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241, or the nearest police station.
They also indicated that all information collected would be treated as confidential.
