By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE St. Kitts-Nevis Patriots will open the 2019 Caribbean Premier League with an away game against the Trinbago Knight Riders at a venue to be determined.

Despite the CPL organisers not releasing the official fixtures just yet, reports out of Trinidad and Tobago indicated that the defending champions, Knight Riders, would open the season at home against the Patriots on September 4.

That game is reportedly bowling off at 6:00 p.m.

However, the venue has not been announced as the managers at the Queens Park Oval are in negotiations over the use of that ground.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday (May 22), the St. Kitts-Nevis Patriots and the other teams finalised their squads for the 2019 Caribbean Premier League season following the draft in London, England.

The Patriots squad includes a number of fan-favourites such as Carlos Braithwaite, Evin Lewis and South African Rassie Van Der Dussen, all of whom were retained from the 2018 season.

Also joining the Basseterre-based side are West Indian pacer Sheldon Cottrell with his salute of a send-off, Isuru Udana, Fabian Allen, Laurie Evans, Devon Thomas, Rayad Emrit, Shamar Brooks, Jeremiah Louis, Dominic, Afif Hossain, Keron Cottoy, Akeem Jordan, Usama Mir and Aaron Jones.
