BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – RESIDENTS of Newton Ground woke up this morning (Jun. 4) to the horrific news of one of their own was sexually assaulted and robbed.
According to information reaching this publication, which was confirmed by the police, at approximately 3 o’clock this morning, three armed individuals had entered a woman’s home in the Newton Ground area and sexually assaulted her as well as robbing her of a number of personal items.
According to a police communiqué, the trio had fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Investigations into this incident are ongoing and the police are urging anyone who might have information that could lead to the apprehension of the perpetrators to contact the Sandy Point Police Station at 465-6261, the nearest police station or by calling the Crime Hotline at 707.
