CASTRIES, St. Lucia –THERE must be something magical in the drinking water in St. Lucia, with a recent boom in great musical talents coming out of the country. The latest is Hip-Hop prince, Keen Cotter a.k.a. Mecca, who has recently released his second music video for his hit track ‘Never Enough’.

The video was shot by Director/Producer, Davina Lee and ‘Never Enough’ is a uniquely St. Lucian video with an international appeal.

The mini movie, shot on location in the St. Lucian fishing village of Anse La Raye, highlights that community’s people, awe-inspiring backdrops and the art of the world renowned Dustan St. Omer.

'Never Enough’, also represents Cotter’s growth as an artist and his transition from the stage name ‘Mecca’.

The song talks about the hustle an artist has to go through to achieve his goals and the sometimes lack of support from those around him.

According to Cotter, “In the song, I talk about how hard you work sometimes to give everything you can to the one you love. But for some people, that hard work is just never enough.
But it also has a positive message; that you have to work hard and push for whatever you want, no matter what.”

Born in the south west St. Lucian village of Laborie, Keen entered the music scene in 1997 at fourteen when his lyrical skills were noticed. By 1998, the rapper released his first radio track ‘Punk Daddy’ and continued recording and releasing mix tapes.

According to his publicist Esther Lee, ‘This is a new era for Keen as he continues to push his own lyrical style of Hip Hop with a Caribbean twist. Never forgetting his roots, Keen always incorporates some form of his culture and heritage into his music and videos.’

As Keen gets set to take over the world with his lyrical skills, he says that music is now his top priority.

“I am now in the studio working really hard, developing new beats and lyrics everyday. I am working on my album right now with the producer Sherwinn ‘Dupes’ Brice and I want it to be the best because I am a perfectionist when it comes to my music.”
