BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – MEMBERS of the Police Force and the Fire and Rescue Services are currently investigating an early morning fire in Douglas Estate that resulted in the death of a 64-year-old man.
According to a police communique, at approximately 3:00 yesterday (Jun. 13), police had received and responded to a report of a fire at All B’s Bar in Douglas Estate.
A unit from the Fire and Rescue Services was summoned to the scene and, on extinguishing the fire, they discovered the body of Cleveland Collins lying motionless on the floor of the business establishment.
The District Medical Examiner was summoned to the scene, where he examined the body and pronounced him dead.
The scene was processed by members of the Crime Scene Unit and items of evidential value were taken into custody.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
