BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – An elderly woman was found dead in her Bouryeaux home last evening (Jun. 17) and police have since launched an investigation into the matter.
According to a police communique, at about 6:30 p.m. yesterday, a neighbor of the elderly woman had contacted the police after attempts to contact her had failed.
Upon arrival at the home of the deceased, police observed her motionless body lying on the kitchen floor.
The District Medical Officer was summoned to the scene and, on examination of the body, pronounced her dead.
According to the police, investigations into the matter are ongoing and an autopsy was ordered to determine the cause of her death.
