CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A motorcyclist died yesterday morning (Jun. 17) in Nevis following a traffic accident on the Island Main Road.
The motorcyclist’s name was given as Cleon Dore of Butlers Village.
According to a police report, the accident took place at approximately 8:30 a.m. and had involved Dore, who was driving motorcycle RA 356, and motor jeep P 1206 which was driven by Glennette Williams of Butlers Village.
The report stated that Dore was travelling along the Island Main Road from Gingerland to Charlestown and when he had gotten in the vicinity of Brown Pasture, he overtook a passenger bus and collided with the motor jeep which was travelling in the opposite direction.
He sustained injuries to his head and was pronounced dead by the District Medical Examiner who was summoned to the scene.
