St. Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister wishes the Government and people of the United States of America a happy Fourth of July

By: (PRESSSEC), Press Release

July 3rd, 2019 -- Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris extends hearty congratulations to the Government and people of the United States of America on the wonderful occasion of the country’s 243rd birthday on Thursday, July 4th, 2019, which commemorates the day the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

“The Government and people of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis – where Alexander Hamilton was born – share in Americans’ pride over your nation’s great accomplishments that have spanned more than two centuries, largely owing to the foresight and fortitude of the Founding Fathers, of whom he was one of the most preeminent,” Prime Minister Harris said today, Wednesday, July 3rd.

St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister noted it is therefore fitting that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is marking America’s Independence Day with naturalization ceremonies. This year, nearly 110 naturalization ceremonies will be held and close to 7,500 new citizens welcomed across the United States between July 1st and July 5th.

“On behalf of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis, I wish America’s diverse people, including our fellow nationals who live there, a very happy Fourth of July and a prosperous future for all of their sons and daughters,” Prime Minister Harris said today.

“I take the opportunity to reiterate our commitment to continue working with your government in championing the deeply entrenched values of democracy, individual freedom, justice and respect for the rights of all people that make us more alike than different,” the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis added.
