BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - CRICKET WEST INDIES (CWI) has added several new names to its all-format contract list, and among them are batsmen Shimron Hetmyer and Darren Bravo.

In its recently released new list, CWI increased the number of all-format contracts awarded to West Indies men’s players and also expanded the list of centrally contracted women players for the 2019-20 season.

In a statement, the regional board said that the number of all-format contracts on the men’s side has now increased from four to seven.

Darren Bravo, Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul have joined Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph and Kemar Roach on the list.

CWI said that in total, 19 men have been retained for the upcoming contract year which runs from July 1 to June 30 next year.

Also making the list are first-timers Fabian Allen, Nicholas Pooran, Oshane Thomas and John Campbell.

On the distaff side, 15 players, an increase of three, have also earned central contracts to run for the same period. These include veteran all-rounder Stacy-Ann King, fellow left-hander Kycia Knight and newcomers Shabika Gajnabi, Shawnisha Hector, Chinelle Henry, Natasha McLean and Karishma Ramharack.

Interim Chairman of CWI Selection Panel, Robert Haynes said, “We believe the 2019-20 contract list provides us with a multi-talented group of players who can represent West Indies men and women across all formats over the contract period.”

He noted that the mix of players selected are important for the development of the teams going forward.
