CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – POLICE on Nevis are investigating an attempted robbery and assault of two male residents of New Castle that took place on the evening of Monday (Jul. 22).
According to a police communique, investigations revealed that at approximately 7:30 p.m. on the day in question, two masked men had entered the men’s home, tied them up and demanded money from them.
One of the bandits had appeared to be armed while the other had in his hand what appeared to be a knife.
Investigations also revealed that the bandits had searched the house and then fled the scene. However, no money or other property was taken, and no one was injured during the incident.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing and the police are asking anyone with information that could lead to the apprehension of the perpetrators to contact the Charlestown Police Station by dialling 469-5391, the nearest police station or call the Crime Hotline at 707.
