BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE on St. Kitts are investigating a shooting incident that left one man warded at the Joseph N France General Hospital.
According to a police communiqué, lawmen had responded to a report of a shooting incident that occurred close to Lodge Project at about 8:45 p.m. yesterday (Aug. 5).
So far, investigations have revealed that 29-year-old Glenville Williams of Lodge Project was within the area when he was shot and injured by an unknown masked individual.
A private vehicle had transported the injured man to the Mary Charles Hospital in Molineux. He was then taken by ambulance to the JNF General Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and is currently warded in the Intensive Care Unit.
Williams is listed as being in a stable condition.
Members from the Crime Scene Unit had visited and processed the scene as investigations are ongoing.
The police are appealing to anyone who might have any information that could lead to the apprehension of the assailant to call the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) at 467-1887, 467-1888, or 662-3468 or ther nearest police station.
