BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SACRIFICE, punctuality and hard work led to two long-serving employees of Kajola Kristada Limited winning the awards for Employees of the Months of April and May.

Keisha Bass and Shontella Dore have had their names added to the establishment’s Wall of Fame for being Employees of the Months of April and May, respectively.

Speaking with SKNVibes, a smiling Bass said she enjoys the job she has been doing for eight years.

“It’s very enjoyable. It’s nice. Here is very nice. They look after the people who work here, so all in all I enjoy my time with the company.”

Questioned on what was done differently compared to her fellow employees during the month of April in order to earn the award, Bass pointed to her consistency of being on time, while at the same time putting in the hard work to complete all of her tasks in a timely manner.

“Coming to work, being here on time and, I guess, just being here on time consistently.”

The EX 11 Department employee explained that she usually makes the sacrifice of being on time even though it is “hard to do consistently”.

She said though the job is a very demanding one, it is the love for what she does that drive her to be early on a consistent basis.

Dore, a resident of Ottley’s Village, has been in the employ of Kajola Kristada for five years, and she embraces the challenge of her job.

The SMT Department employee expressed a sense of profound gratitude for being recognised for the hard work and sacrifices she made.

“It is good to see that the hard work of employees at Kajola is not going unrecognised,” she said. “This does make the employees want to come in here and do their jobs.”

The mother of four balances her work life with that of her family and noted that it is worthy of the sacrifice she makes.

This is the second time that Dore’s name has been added to those on the Wall of Fame; the first was in 2017.
