Race for supremacy intensifies in Constituency Number Seven Domino League

By: Peter Ngunjiri, Press Release

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, August 21, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- The four games played on Tuesday August 20 in the seventh segment of play in the first round of the 2019 Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition returned very close results, an indication that the race for supremacy is intensifying.

Defending champions Parsons Domino Club from Constituency Number Six travelled to Mansion Village, where at Domino House they had an encounter with Christchurch Domino Club. The champions emerged victorious with a 13-10 win over the home team.

The other team from Constituency Number Six, Saddlers Domino Club, travelled to Molineux where at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion they faced home team Unstoppable Domino Club who they beat with an equal score of 13-10.

In the second game played at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion, Molineux Domino Club narrowly beat Giants Domino Club 13-12. A similar score was registered at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project where Small Corner Bar Domino Club beat Guinness Domino Club 13-12.

In what was to have been the fifth game of the seventh segment of play in the first round, Unity Patriots Domino Club recorded an easy 13-0 win as their intended opponents Phillips Domino Club were a now show. This is the third game Phillips would have lost as a result of not showing up, having earlier given away easy wins to Sylvers Domino Club, and to Giants Domino Club when they failed to honour the fixtures.

Eighth segment of play in the first round of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition will be on Thursday August 22 at five venues, with defending champions Parsons playing at home at Back Way Bar in Parsons Ground against Giants in one of the games. Saddlers will also be at home, at Shanty Bar in Saddlers Villages, facing Unity Patriots.

In the other games, Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project will have Small Corner Bar facing Molineux; Sylvers will meet Christchurch at Tacky Bar in Hidden Alley, Lodge Village; and Guinness will face Phillips at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion in Molineux.
