LIAT cancels 26 more flights

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - REGIONAL travellers will continue to be affected as LIAT has announced further cancellation of flights within its network due the passage of Tropical Storm Dorian.

     

    Today (Aug. 27), the airline announced the cancellation of 26 flights and indicated the likelihood of further cancellations within hours.

    Flights in and out of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados and St. Lucia are some of the countries currently affected.

    “LIAT wishes to advise passengers that due to the passage of Tropical Storm Dorian that several destinations within the LIAT network will be affected. In the interest of passenger and crew safety and the closure of several airports, several flights have been cancelled,” LIAT said in a statement.

    Flights cancelled for today are:

    LI 308 from Trinidad to St. Vincent;
    LI 308 from St. Vincent to Grenada;
    LI 773 from Dominica to Barbados;
    LI 304 from Grenada to Barbados;
    LI 392 from Ogle, Guyana to Barbados;
    LI 310 from Trinidad to St. Lucia;
    LI 310 from St. Lucia to Antigua, but it will operate direct from Trinidad to Antigua;
    LI 374 from Barbados to St. Lucia;
    LI 375 from St. Lucia to Barbados;
    LI 370 from Barbados to St. Lucia;
    LI 371 from St. Lucia to St. Vincent;
    LI 371 from St. Vincent to Barbados;
    LI 372 from Barbados to Martinique;
    LI 373 from Martinique from Barbados;
    LI 771 from Barbados to St. Vincent;
    LI 771 from St. Vincent to Trinidad; 
    LI 362 from Barbados to Dominica;
    LI 337 from Barbados to Grenada; 
    LI 755 from Barbados to St. Vincent;
    LI 756 from St. Vincent to St. Lucia;
    LI 756 from St. Lucia to Barbados;
    LI 737 from Barbados to St. Vincent; 
    LI 737 from St. Vincent to Trinidad;
    LI 769 from Barbados to St. Vincent; and
    LI 770 from St. Vincent to Barbados.

    LIAT will however continue to operate its normal flight schedule in the unaffected territories in the network.
