Basseterre, St. Kitts -- It's the 10th Anniversary of the St. Christopher Children's Home Annual Family Run and Walk and organisers are working diligently to attract record participation and sponsorship for an event that provides 90 percents of the budget for the safe haven.
Last year, the St. Christopher Children's Home Annual Family Run and Walk attracted 1400 runners and walkers and raised $200,000 for the institution's annual budget.
"This year we are celebrating 10 years of the 2K Walk/5K Run and hope to have the biggest participant attendance yet,” stated Kym Taylor – Chairperson to the Board of Directors for the Home. “To show our continued appreciation of our sponsors, we have formed the Founders Club, which comprises of our original sponsors who have sponsored us continuously since our first event."
She identified the St. Kitts Marriott Resort; Royal Beach Casino; Marriott Vacation Club International; Grant Thornton; First Caribbean International Bank and Delisle Walwyn as good corporate partners over the decade.
President of the Royal Beach Casino and chair of the Family Fun Run Organizing Committee, Ugo Gagliard hosted the Lifting Spirits Fun Run Cocktail Reception on Thursday 22 August in recognition of contributors to the Home at the Ultra Sky Lounge at the Royal Beach Casino.
The St. Christopher Children's Home 10th Anniversary Family Run and Walk is slated for October 5, 2019 at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Course.
Businesses still have an opportunity to confirm sponsorship and their company logos to ensure proper credit and recognition for this year's milestone event, especially on the 10th Anniversary shirt.
