Saddlers youth drowns at Lavington Bay

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A young male resident of Saddlers Village had reportedly died by drowning while diving at Lavington Bay on Saturday (Sept. 7).

     

    He is 23-year-old Marcus Rubaine of Saddlers Village.

    According to a police communique, preliminary enquiries revealed that Rubaine and an individual went diving at Lavington Bay at about 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.

    Some time later while diving, he experienced difficulties and drowned.

    His body was taken to the shore by a civilian and a unit from the Emergency Medical Services was summoned to the scene.

    Also summoned was the District Medical Doctor who pronounced him dead.

    Technicians from the Crime Scene Unit had processed the scene and, according to the police, an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death.
