Wednesday 11th September, 2019 (St. Kitts & Nevis) – The St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC), under the leadership of the Hon. Shawn Richards, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture et al, selects its slogan annually through an Open Competion. This year, the Sugar Mas 48 Slogan Competition ended on Saturday 31st August, giving participants over one month to submit their Entries.
The following criteria applied:
• Inclusive of the year of the Sugar Mas we are celebrating
• Clean
• Short
• Catchy
• Reflect the spirit of Sugar Mas
One hundred and twenty-five (125) Entries were submitted.
The SKNNCC is pleased to announce that Ms. Janet Johnson is this year’s Slogan Competition Winner:
The Winning Slogan is:
“Why Wait? Let’s celebrate Sugar Mas 48!
Ms. Johnson will receive two (2) Complimentary General tickets for Carnival Core Events:
National Carnival Senior Calypso, National Carnival Queen, National Carnival Swimsuit & Mr. GQ, National Carnival Soca Monarch, National Carnival Teenage & Youth Calypso.
The value ranges from EC $450 to a value of EC $500.00.
