CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A traffic accident on Nevis involving one of TDC’s vehicles has left one man nursing a broken leg.
According to a police press release, the injured man is Garry Richardson of Stoney Grove.
It stated that the accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 10) in the Gingerland area and had involved P9475, which is owned by TDC and was driven by Samuel Parris of Craddock Road.
Circumstances are that the vehicle was travelling from Rawlins Village towards the Island Main Road and Parris lost control of it when he got to Hard Times in the vicinity of the Old Corn Mill.
The vehicle then crashed into a tree and the driver as well as Richardson and another passenger were taken to the Alexandra Hospital for medical attention.
Richardson had sustained a broken leg and a wound to his stomach and is currently warded at the medical institution in a stable condition.
The driver had sustained minor injuries but the other passenger was unhurt and both of them were discharged.
