BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Jamaica Tallawahs have made three changes to its squad as several of its key players were injured during the first half of the season.

According to CPL organizers, the Jamaica Tallawahs have announced that Jade Dernbach and Dwayne Smith would be joining them for the remainder of the 2019 Hero Caribbean Premier League.

Dernbach will replace Kennar Lewis who is unavailable due to personal reasons, while Smith will come into the team for Rovman Powell who has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to injury sustained during the Tallawahs match against Trinbago Knight Riders.

Smith has some serious CPL pedigree, having scored four centuries at the tournament, the joint highest by any player.

He is the fifth-highest run-scorer in CPL, having scored 1,584 runs in his 58 CPL matches.

They have also added Jermaine Blackwood to the team as temporary cover for Andre Russell while he recovers from the blow he received playing against the Trinbago Knight Riders.

Blackwood has played for the Tallawahs in the past and has appeared in 28 Tests and two ODIs for the West Indies.
