BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have charged a male resident of Keys Village with Attempted Murder in connection with a recent shooting incident in that village.
Charged is 29-year-old Jason Henderson in connection with the shooting of Ivan Dunrod.
Police in a statement last week said that while Dunrod, 53, was by a shop in Keys Village some time after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 18), an unknown assailant approached and shot him in his arm.
In a bid to escape from his assailant, Donrod ran from the scene and met a member of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force who was in the area.
With the use of a police vehicle, the lawman transported him to the Joseph N France General Hospital, where he was treated for his injury and was said to be in a stable condition.
In a statement today (Sept. 25), police said that Henderson was on Monday (Sept. 23) charged with the attempted murder of Dunrod.
