BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 27, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- After a shaky start in the second round of the 24th edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition on Tuesday September 24 that was occasioned by the passing of a weather system, action resumed on Thursday September 26 with a full slate of games in the second segment.

While eleven teams took part in the first round of this year’s edition of the competition, one team, Phillips Domino Club which only played three games in the first round appears to have thrown in the towel and have as a result not been included in the scheduling of play for matches in the second round.

Out of the five games slated for Tuesday September 24 in the first segment of the second round, only two were concluded where Giants Domino Club overcame Sylvers Domino Club 13-10 at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, and Guinness Domino Club beat Molineux Domino Club 14-5 at Cuban Bar, also in Lodge Project.

A game played on the same day at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion in Molineux between Unstoppable Domino Club and Christchurch Domino Club come to a premature end with Unstoppable leading 4-3 when the venue was engulfed in darkness after current went out.

Another game that was affected by lack of current before it even started was between defending champions Parsons Domino Club and former champions Unit Patriots Domino Club that should have taken place at Back Way Bar in Parsons Ground.

According to Calvin Farrell, the President of the Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, the two games will be replayed on Sunday September 29 at the same venues. He added that his committee is deliberating on the fate of a failed game between Saddlers Domino Club and Small Corner Bar Domino Club that was supposed to have taken place at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project.

The second segment of play in the second round of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League came off without a hitch on Thursday September 26 where defending champions Parsons and leaders in points standing at the end of the first round beat Small Corner Bar 13-10 in a game played at Back Way Bar in Parsons Ground, while top contenders Unstoppable beat Molineux 13-11 at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion in Molineux.

The other games on Thursday saw Saddlers deny Unity Patriots their home advantage after they beat them 13-11 at Cuban Bar in Lodge Project; Guinness beat Giants 13-11 at the end of their encounter at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project; and Sylvers outclassed home team Christchurch 13-6 at Domino House in Mansion Village.

Third segment of play in the second round of the 24th edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League will be on Tuesday October 1 at four venues.

Defending champions Parsons will travel to Molineux where at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion they will meet Molineux Domino Club. The Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project will host two games, between Sylvers and Small Corner Bar, and between Guinness and Christchurch. Unity Patriots will be at home hosting Unstoppable at Cuban Bar in Lodge Project.
