Good evening to all HAMs
Today I collect a letter from NTRC at around 3:55
Among other things, the letter stated the following:
1 NTRC has investigated our case, spectrum interference
2 SKELEC was proven to be the source of our complain
3 NTRC afforded SKELEC extensive time to resolve the complaint and to comply with the Regulations
4 NTRC did order SKELEC on October 7, 2019 to cease and desist from the use of its Smart meters
5 Additionally, SKELEC was given 2 months to resolve the issue.
6 This Cease and Desist directive orders that SKELEC turns off the Smart (Remote) immediately.
7 Should SKELEC fail to comply with the commission’s order, pursuant to regulation 9 (b) of the regulation, the commission shall advise the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL)and submit a report including the results of its investigation to the Director of Public Prosecution detailing the breach of the act.
8 Members are asked to monitor the related spectrum and report their experience to NTRC.
