Monday 14th, 2019 -- On Sunday 13th October, 2019, the Girls' Brigade Island Council worshiped at the Immanuel Methodist Church in Sandy Point, to mark its annual week of celebrations as an organization. On Wednesday it is Publicity Day, when officers and girls wear their uniform to work or school. This is one means of promoting the Brigade.
The Girls' Brigade started in Dublin, Ireland in 1893. It was not until 1960 when the first company in St. Kitts was established. Since then some 15 companies have been registered. As the Council continues to look at the future of this important organization in our society, the cry goes out for leaders.
The Island Council will be meeting on Saturday 19th October to conclude our week of activities.
Our Motto declares: 'Seek, Serve and Follow Christ', and its through these words we hope to rejuvenate our companies.
