BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – LESTER SEATON, the man who had allegedly stabbed Mirthlyn Mitchell of Dieppe Bay, was charged with the offence of Attempted Murder and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
According to a police communiqué, at about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 26), police received a report of a stabbing incident in the Dieppe Bay area.
Preliminary investigations had revealed that the 28-year-old Mitchell was attacked and stabbed several times about the body with a knife.
Police had transported her to the Pogson Medical Centre from where she was subsequently transferred to the JNF Hospital, where she was at the times listed as being in a stable condition.
The police also reported that the offender, 48-year-old Lester Seaton – also of Dieppe Bay - had fled the scene but was later taken into custody.
