BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE in St. Kitts are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing to justice a man who had sexually assaulted a female in the Basseterre area on Saturday (Nov. 9).
According to a police communiqué, the incident was reported at about 12:30 a.m. on the day in question.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a male had held the female at knifepoint, pulled her into nearby clump of bushes and sexually assaulted her.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing and the police are making a special appeal to anyone who might have information regarding this incident to contact the Special Victims Unit (SVU) by dialling 465-2241 ext. 4252, or 6653091.
Persons with information that can lead to the apprehension of the perpetrator can also contact the nearest police station or call the Crime Hotline at 707.
