CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A member of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), who had fled the jurisdiction after being accused of having sexual relationships with a minor, had surrendered to police in Antigua.
According to Antigua News Room, the Constable (name provided) had surrendered at the St. John’s Police Station yesterday (Nov. 14).
“The suspect reported to police that he left St. Kitts twelve days ago via a boat and was dropped off at Redonda, where he remained for approximately ten days before getting a boat ride to Antigua,” the media house reported.
Antigua News Room also stated that the Constable is attached to the Charlestown Police Station and is wanted for the alleged Unlawful Carnal Knowledge committed on October 15, 2019.
It further said: “The 24-year old Constable is alleged to have had sexual intercourse with an underage girl on more than one occasion.”
This publication first got wind of this incident yesterday, with reports suggesting that police were investigating one of their own for an alleged sexual offence.
Though no official statement was issued by the RSCNPF, SKNVibes was assured that a report was made to the authorities and an investigation was launched into the matter.
This publication has also learnt that the Constable is a foreign national residing in the Federation.
According to unconfirmed reports, he is scheduled to arrive in the Federation some time today under escort.
