CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A 26-year-old man of Butler’s Village is now a patient at the Alexandra Hospital after a shooting incident took place yesterday afternoon (Sept. 3).

Although details are sketchy, SKNVibes understands that Evrol Daniel was shot by an officer of the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force some time after midday.

The shooting took place on Government Road in Charlestown.
No official release has been made by the police at this time, but this media house understands that Daniel was shot in the leg after a brief altercation and is reportedly in a stable condition.

Evrol’s mother, Dawn Daniel, and his father Wadsworth Fergus were both visibly upset when approached by SKNVibes at the hospital.

The young man’s mother indicated it was not the first time that her son had been shot by the police, even though he is “not a trouble-maker”.
