BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A man from Lamberts Village, who is currently in police custody, will soon appear in court to answer seven drug-related charges.
Police reported that on Tuesday (Nov. 19) they have charged Edmond Cozier of the above mentioned address with Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and Importation of Cannabis.
He was also charged by the Customs and Excise Department for the offences of Making a False Declaration to Customs, Importation of Cannabis, Concealment of Imported Goods and Attempting to Evade a Customs Officer.
The report stated that Couzier was charged after a package he went to clear at Customs on Monday (Nov. 18) was found to contain a quantity of Cannabis concealed within.
He was subsequently arrested and is currently in police custody.
