BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A joint search operation by members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force resulted in the recovery of a quantity of items stolen from the Ramada Resort.

The operation was launched on Saturday (Nov. 23) and searches were done on several premises in West Farm and St. Paul’s Village.

According to a police communiqué, among the items found were doors, air conditioning units, toilet seats, tins of paint and a face basin.

A number of items are still missing and five persons were taken into custody.

The communiqué stated that the break-in at the Ramada Resort was reported earlier this month and investigations into the matter are ongoing.

The police are encouraging persons who are in possession of any of the stolen items or know the whereabouts of any of the items, to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at the Dieppe Bay Police Station by dialling 465-7261, contact their nearest police station or call the Crime Hotline at 707.
