BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A young man’s bid for freedom was short-lived following his escape from custody yesterday (Nov. 30).
Police have reported that 21-year-old Andrew Herbert, also known as ‘Hurt Skin’, of McKnight, was recaptured by Prison Officers in the Port Zante area hours after he had escaped from custody.
Herbert was convicted for the offence of Larceny and was in custody awaiting his sentencing hearing, which is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
He has since been handed over to the police and is likely to be charged with Escaping from Lawful Custody.
