24th November 2019, Basseterre, St.Kitts -- On November 19th, CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank joined the worldwide community in celebrating the positive contributions men make to their families, communities and the world.
In keeping with the theme “Men Leading By Example,” the bank’s Basseterre branch welcomed Kadeem Perceival and Jaiden Cotton, two students from the Verchilds High School with an appetite for banking.
The students spent part of the day meeting with Country Manager, Andre Cadogan and “shadowing” various male senior executives and retail staff who exposed them to key areas within the bank including operations, personal lending and electronic services. After which two male members of staff treated the students to their first “corporate lunch.”
In wrapping up the visit Cadogan emphasized the importance of the exercise. He stated, “It is imperative that men in our community take active roles in portraying positive images both personally and professionally so that our boys can have positive role models to emulate. CIBC FirstCaribbean is committed to making its contribution in this regard.”
Both students were extremely grateful for the opportunity and left the branch even more convinced that banking was the path for them.
