Prime Minister’s Christmas parties for children in Constituency Number Seven

Prime Minister Harris with children at the children’s Christmas party held at Black Rocks in Bellevue last year
By: Peter Ngunjiri, Press Release

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, December 17, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- The festive season is with us now, and children in Constituency Number Seven can look forward to interacting with Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris when he, as the Area Parliamentary Representative, hosts a series of children’s Christmas parties across the various communities.

Prime Minister Harris has been the Parliamentary Area Representative for Constituency Number Seven, Bellevue to Ottley’s, since 1993 and in all these years he would have held kiddies’ Christmas parties in each of the villages.

The Peoples Labour Party (PLP), one of the three parties in the ruling Team Unity Government and which Dr Harris is its National Political Leader has released the schedule for this year’s children’s Christmas parties which kick off tomorrow Wednesday December 18. There will be a total of eight parties to cater for children in the different communities, and all parties will start at 2:00 pm.

The first two in the series of children’s Christmas parties this year will be held tomorrow Wednesday December 18 for children in Phillips Village and its surroundings at the hard court in Estate Yard, while the party for children in the Molineux and its surrounding areas will be held at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex’s hard courts.

Action will continue on Thursday with three parties. Children in Lodge and Bourryeau will converge at the Bath in Lodge; Edgar T. Morris Primary School will be the venue for the party catering for children in Tabernacle Village; while action will be at the Ottley’s hard courts for children from Ottley’s Village and Lodge Project.

There will be a break on Friday, as the next children’s Christmas party will be held on Saturday at the recently renovated Mansion Playfield, which has since been renamed the James Bernell Harris-Matthew Sporting Complex.

The last two parties will be held on Sunday; one at Ms Shanice Allen’s residence in Christchurch for the children in the village, and the other one will be at the scenic Black Rocks by Willie’s Bar for children from Bellevue.

Children as well as their parents have been looking forward to these now hugely popular outings where the children have time to frolic with their peers at the parties that come with the popular bouncing castles, and an array of attractive consoles for their entertainment.

They are also entertained by a team of masquerades, and there is food and drinks not only for the children but also for the accompanying adults. The crowning moment is always when the Prime Minister joins them before Santa comes with their individual gifts.
