Basseterre, St. Kitts – POLICE have informed that a third individual was charged for allegedly robbing the Chinese national-owned Island Food Supermarket in Camps.
In a press release, the police have given his name as Denzil Stevens of Sandy Point and stated that he was charged for the offence of Robbery.
The 35-year-old has now joined his alleged accomplices – 20-year-old Michael Saunders of Conaree Village, who is said to be a Private in the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force; and 35-year-old Laureston Ryan of Sandy Point; bothe of whom were also charged with Robbery.
Saunders was charge on Tuesday (Dec. 17), while Ryan was charged two days later.
In an earlier release police had reported that at about 4:50 p.m. on Friday (Dec. 6), two masked, armed men had entered the Island Food Supermarket, situated on the northern side of the Island Main Road in Camps, and demanded money from one of the cashiers.
The duo reportedly had what appeared to be firearms in their possession and took an undisclosed sum of cash from the cash register before fleeing the scene.
Fortunately, however, no one was injured during the incident.
