BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, December 28, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris is inviting all people of goodwill to join him as he worships tomorrow (Sunday December 29) at the Methodist Church, on Main Street in Tabernacle Village, from 9:00 am.

Dr Harris, who is also the National Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP), is a God-fearing leader who joins citizens and residents of the Federation for worship in their various churches on a regular basis. The Methodist Church is one of the several churches in Tabernacle and there is excitement in the air as members of the church look forward to welcoming the Prime Minister and his entourage for the worship service.

At a church service held in August 2017, Prime Minister Harris had said: “St. Kitts and Nevis prides itself as a Nation under God, and indeed in our Constitution way back in 1983 we declared publicly that we are a nation under God. And so we hope to do all things and to get the blessings of God, His guidance and direction upon our beautiful country and our beautiful people.”

President of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) Constituency Number Seven Women’s Group Mrs Sonia Henry is inviting members of the group to show solidarity with the Prime Minister in what she has described as a symbolic church service for the fact that he has chosen his home town church for worship on the very last Sunday of year 2019.

“In Dr Timothy Harris, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is blessed to have a God-fearing leader who takes time to worship and who encourages others to follow suit either by joining him or encouraging them to attend their different churches,” said Mrs Henry. “Members of the PLP Constituency Number Seven Women’s Group have been encouraged by our leader and because of that we always support him when he attends to any functions, and not just church services.”

Mrs Sonia Henry, better known for her role as a prayer warrior, said that in the past members of her group would have supported Prime Minister Harris. Since tomorrow’s worship service is the last Sunday service of this year, many of the members and their friends will turn up to not just show solidarity but to also receive blessing from the Almighty God.
