Chris Tyson is Striving for Excellence

By: (CFBC), Press Release
February 4th, 2020 -- Chris Tyson is a nineteen-year-old gentleman who recently graduated from the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) and earned an Associate Degree in Agricultural Studies. Mr. Tyson did not only achieve academic success, but he is also the recipient of three President’s Excellence Awards: the Cable Award for impactful Community Service, the W. Ferdinand & Cynthia M Dore Award for his stellar performance in Agricultural Studies and the Leadership Award.

He is truly deserving of these awards based on his outstanding academic performance and having served his alma mater in several capacities such as Science Club secretary, member of the Literary and Debating Society, member of the History Club; Orientation Leader, usher, one of the 2017 Remarkable Teens, Department of Youth Empowerment Volunteer Corp member; Leader at the Department of Youth Empowerment Summer Camp in 2019, Ambassador for Childhood Obesity Campaign and member of Youth Environment Network. Chris often candidly states that although he has pride in maintaining a GPA of 3.63 at his alma mater graduating magna cum laude, he is also proud of being Salutatorian for the Joshua Obadiah Williams Primary School in 2012 and Valedictorian for the Cayon High School in 2017. His fear of the Lord, humble personality and love for mankind are what defines him the most. Mr. Tyson believes that “one does not truly commence to exist until he or she gives back to society having been blessed by the Omnipotent, the Omniscient and the Omnipresent God.”

Based on this premise, Mr. Tyson urges every young individual in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis to capitalize on one’s full potential as good enough is not good enough if you can be and do better. He also encourages young persons to remain tenaciously focused in order to make a meaningful contribution to society, view human beings for who they are and to always remember to be kind and benevolent. Never ever forget these tenets.

CFBC salutes Mr. Chris Tyson on his stellar achievement.
