BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are investigating an incident in which a female was attacked and sexually assaulted by a masked man in the Basseterre area.
According to a police press release, the incident occurred close to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 11).
Investigations into the matter are ongoing and the police are appealing to persons who might have any information regarding this incident to contact the Special Victims Unit by dialling 465-2241 ext. 4252, or via cell phone at 665-3091.
Persons may also contact the nearest police station or call the Crime Hotline at 707 if they have information that can lead to the apprehension of the perpetrator.
This has taken to six the number of rape/sexual assault incidents in the Basseterre area that were reported to the police between 2019 and this year.
