Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 12, 2020 -- Over the past ten (10) days our customers in Conaree, Half Moon, Canada Industrial Site and Key’s experienced power outages due to issues on the Canada Feeder.
In order to fix these issues we dedicated an additional crew to work alongside the maintenance crew to determine the cause of these outages.
Our technicians and engineers identified and replaced several damaged insulators on the segment of the feeder, which they believe have caused the outages. SKELEC continues to monitor and investigate this area closely for further damaged insulators.
SKELEC wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to reassure the public that we are doing all we can to reduce these outages.
