    Basseterre, St. Kitts (December 01, 2005): Coordinator of Early Childhood Mrs Vanta Walters left the Federation recently for Antigua at the invitation of the Ministry of Education's Early Childhood Education Training Centre during its observation of Child Month.

    Mrs Walters was the guest speaker at the Professional Development Day, addressing the theme "Building A Strong Foundation to Improve Our Nation's Education".
     
    She conducted a workshop for day care and preschool supervisors on the topic "Record Keeping and Reporting." Additionally Mrs Walters visited several early childhood centres and participated in the Child Month March.
     
    The early childhood coordinator said she was pleased that the Federation's Early Childhood Unit in St. Kitts can network with its neighbouring counterpart on behalf of children in their most formative years.
     
    Mrs Walters was accompanied by Resource Teacher Mrs Jacquelyn Morris of the Early Childhood Development Unit.
