The tool will provide inputs to inform decision-making of agricultural authorities in the Americas
San Jose, 8 April 2020 (IICA) -- The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) launched the Cultivating Tomorrow’s Agriculture Today blog, in order to provide the views and assessments of renowned specialists in agricultural issues, as it relates to the health emergency triggered by Covid-19.
This online forum will provide the latest information on food vulnerability, the impact of the new Coronavirus pandemic on agriculture and on the response of countries.
It may be accessed on IICA’s website (www.iica.int) or directly at https://blog.iica.int/. The blog will also take a more in-depth look at issues outlined in the Food Security Monitor for Latin America and the Caribbean, another periodic publication that was recently launched and which compiles news and short technical analyses on the topic.
Both projects provide information and relevant analyses on the impact of the virus on food security in the region, in order to inform decision-making processes in various public and private sector entities.
