BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – LAST week, SKNVibes PEP ran a story which stated that I-Wayne and Wayne Wonder out of Jamaica would be performing for the 26th St. Kitts-Nevis Independence Freedom Concert celebration. This media house has since learned that they will be joined by fellow Jamaican singer Bugle.

Bugle, born Roy Thompson, has been singing for quite a while but only started gaining international recognition after the release of ‘Doh’, one of Serani’s singles, on which he was featured, and his very own big hit ‘What We Gonna Do’ that took the regional airwaves and international scene by storm.

According to Mahlon Goma, Head of the Freedom Concert Sub-committee, Verchilds High School Playing Field is the confirmed venue for the event.

In a previous interview, Goma stated that Warner Park Stadium is not an option, as cricket matches are being played there and Frigate Bay lawn is also out of the question because residents of that community had voiced complaints about the constant noise in the area.

He added that the event would also feature local bands and artistes including KC-5 and Infamous.

The fourth staging of the annual Independence Freedom Concert will kick off at 9:00 p.m. and is scheduled for Saturday, September 19 – the date of the nation’s birthday.
