July 21st, 2020 -- Florida-based gospel artist Jesus Rambo is pushing his latest music video “I’m Thirsty” for his hit single released earlier this year. Jesus Rambo, a Jamaican native who moved to Florida at a young age, said the song has been doing well and the response to the video has been great. “Everybody loves it. To God be the glory,” Jesus Rambo said with a smile. “Nobody found fault with the video. It has been a great response to it so far.”

The song “I’m Thirsty talks about the need to crave after the Word of God and to know God intimately. “I came to the Lord and I see a lot of things where people are misleading other people and leading God’s people astray. I want to learn the word for myself so it comes to my heart that I really have to study this Bible and I am determined to know God for myself; this song just come to me…I am thirsty for the Word of God,” he said. The video was shot in Florida.

Jesus Rambo has enjoyed relative success in the gospel music world in Florida, but his life had not always been this golden.  At a young age, he entered a life of criminality rife with violence and all the vices one can imagine. “I was a guy that was homeless. I didn’t grow with love so when I came to the United States I was homeless. I had to drop out of school and sell drugs,” he said. He even offered to be a hitman at one point and began engaging in criminal activities including robbery and shooting.

The artist said he had three spiritual encounters with God that prompted him to change his life for good. This was during a time when he was contemplating taking the life of someone who he said betrayed him. “I got shot…and nobody wanted to help me,” Jesus Rambo said. “I lost everything and had nobody to turn to and I gave my life to the Lord.

After being warned by two individuals, to give up his old lifestyle when he was planning to commit murder, Jesus Rambo made up his mind to totally give his life to God while in church one day. His pastor is the acclaimed artists Papa San, a former dancehall star in Jamaica, whose two brothers were murdered. “I remember Papa San was preaching and a voice said to me, look at you wanting to kill this guy and that man up there is preaching my Word and he lost his brothers by gunshot and he could have defended it and he didn’t do anything about it. He is up there preaching my word and that is what I want you to do. And from then and there, I took my walk serious with Christ,” Jesus Rambo said.

His new video can be found on YouTube under the name Jesus Rambo: “I’m Thirsty.” He currently has an album out called “Kingdom Principle” which can be found on all digital platforms.
