McKnight shooting leaves Trafalgar Villager hospitalised

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – LESS than a week after a Verchilds couple was shot in their home, another incident has left a young male nursing a gunshot wound at the Joseph N. France Hospital.

     

    The victim is Devon Jeffers, also known as Marvin, of Trafalgar Village. At around 12:30 a.m. this morning (Sept. 14), officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force responded to a report of a shooting on Central Street.

     

    According to Police Press and Public Relations Officer Cromwell Henry, Jeffers was shot in the leg by an armed assailant at the junction of Central Street and Shaw Avenue.

     

    He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and warded.

     

    No arrests have been made in relation to the incident, and there are currently no suspects in custody assisting with the investigation.

     

    The police are appealing to persons with information to contact them at 465-2241 ext. 230.
